Where can I start!

I first met Ben and Kat at the wedding of Kat’s Sister, Amelia (check it out here) a couple of years ago, chatted with them both throughout the day and generally had a bit of a laugh as I usually do at weddings.

Then I get a call one day from Ben, who tells me he’s going to propose to Kat, it’s all a big secret, but could I capture it! Which led to me having to hide in a tree (thankfully it was winter) thank’s to Ben’s choice of picnic area (facing a lake, thanks Ben!), but we got some lovely pictures of the surprise moment and it was great to catch up with them both (Proposal shoot here).

So when they booked me for their wedding, I was really excited, I love being able to tell the story of a wedding day and on this occasion I get to tell the story of so much more than that 🙂

The wedding day rolled around and I headed over to the stunning Oxnead Hall to meet them both for prep, the great thing about a venue like this, is with both partners in the same place you don’t miss a thing! Having met half the family before it all felt very familiar, you couldn’t meet a nice group of people!

The weather was on our side for the outdoor ceremony and we got some lovely soft light in the evening when me and the videographer took them for a walk around the grounds.

From some moving speeches, to the sparkler exit and an incredible live band, everyone had a blast from start to finish.

Check out this selection of images which tells the story of Ben and Kat’s wedding (AKA “Kat’s special day” 😉 )
