B & K – Oxnead Hall
It was such a pleasure to capture Ben and Katherine’s big day at Oxnead Hall last summer! I first met the lovely couple when photographing Katherine’s sisters wedding a couple of years earlier. I then got a surprise phonecall from Ben, as he was going to be proposing to Katherine and wanted me to capture the proposal.
So this brings us to the morning of the wedding! Oxnead Hall gives the couple loads of space to use, so both couples can get ready on-site without any risk of bumping into each other. Which meant I could capture both couples getting ready. As well as getting to know the bridal party and the groomsmen. The grounds are gorgeous, one of the reasons Oxnead Hall is one of my favourite wedding venues. There’s so much to explore and loads of opportunities for photographs later in the day around the gorgeous grounds.
For Ben and Kat’s Oxnead Hall Wedding, Ben was getting ready in the house and Kat in the bridal prep room, before going to the main house to get her dress on. The bridal prep room is perfectly laid out for makeup artists and hair stylists, but the light in the bedroom of the main house is to die for. Giving us the opportunity to capture a few beautiful images of Katherine and her bridesmaids before she walked down the aisle.
The weather was on our side for this Oxnead Hall Wedding, meaning that we could have an outdoor ceremony. So the aisle is a tree-lined drive down to the river where Ben was eagerly waiting for her. It was a beautiful ceremony in a beautiful location and the weather couldn’t have been better! The couple then moved to the Orangery to sign the register before mingling with guests until it was ready to be seated for the meal.
After the incredibly moving speaches, we took a quick walk around the grounds to get some stunning portraits of the couple. Before heading back for dancing, music and sparklers!
140 for an indoor ceremony or up to 300 for a duo ceremony. Outdoor duo ceremonies are fantastic, but obviously weather dependant.
The Great Barn can seat up to 200 for dinner
