NORFOLK FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER
TURNING MOMENTS INTO MEMORIES
If you’re looking for a Norwich family photographer or children’s photographer that will capture the personality of your little ones, those little moments between you all, and keep it all good fun, then you’re in the right place!
Family photography with
I truly believe that family photographs are incredibly important. As a parent myself I know all too well how fleeting some of the stages of our little one’s life can be. They grow up so quickly don’t they?
My aim as a Norfolk based family photographer is to give you images that not only reflect the stage they are at and freeze those little moments in time. But do so in my usual modern, contemporary style so you know those images will stand the test of time. Think family lifestyle photographer, rather than traditional portraits.
How it works
The shoots are up to 2 hours shooting time, within 15 miles of Norwich. We’ll chat beforehand where I can find out a bit about your family and we’ll pick a place to do the shoot. Plenty of beautiful spaces to pick from around Norfolk, I can suggest a few locations, or we can use a favourite place of yours.

That’s entirely up to you! My Family Photoshoots can be held anywhere you like! As a Norwich family photographer my shoots will predominantly be based in and around Norwich, but I’m happy to travel more than the 15 miles from Norwich, but there may be an additional fee for this.
I’m also more than happy to split my family photography sessions over more than one location. We could start at home, get some pictures of you all having fun in your own space, before getting ready and heading to the local park or woods!
Mousehold Heath is always a good location, on the doorstep of most of us in Norwich, Redbridge Recreation ground is a beautiful picnic spot, or one of the many parks we have to choose from – Eaton Park, Catton Park and Waterloo Park are all perfect for these family photoshoots – with a mixture of backgrounds and environments and plenty to keep the kids entertained.
We can shoot any time you like, but it may depend on the location and the time of year, as to when is *best* for a famly photoshoot.
The best light to shoot in, is always the first and last hour of sunlight, so ideally, we’d meet 2 hours before sunset and shoot through that incredible golden light. However, while this might be easy enough in late autumn or winter. It’s not often a choice in the summer when kids are involved.
If yours are anything like my little girl, then while she’s always happy to avoid bedtime, she’s also grumpy about not being asleep by that time 😉
So in the summer I always suggest making it either as early, or as late, as is practical. If that’s not an option and we’re going to do a shoot in the middle of the day, that’s not a problem at all. We just need to pick a location that has plenty of shade.
The whole 2 hours won’t be spent taking photographs, it’s enough time to chat, to play, to get to know you all a little and for your kids to be able to relax around a new person. It allows time to wipe runny noses, change nappies, take toilet breaks, have snacks whatever is needed to keep your little ones happy and at ease. Sometimes the kids are instantly relaxed and we’ll have what we need in an hour, but the 2 hour window gives us plenty of opportunity.
I’m a great believer in transparency with pricing, there’s nothing worse than committing to something where you don’t know how much things cost! While I don’t have a full price list up on my website, simply because of all the variations of sizes available, I’m more than happy for you to have a chat about what products you may be wanting and advise you on what I’d suggest and how much they would cost. But there are options for every budget.
Loose prints from my professional lab cost from £5 and you can check out my Products page for more info on the wall art.
I will deliver up to 50 images (which will be presented in both colour and black and white) for you to choose from. Once you’ve selected your collection you will receive them in both formats (So in Collection 1 for example, you receive your 10 favourites in both colour and black and white).
Your images will be ready to view within 48 hours of the shoot. You’ll be sent a link to an online gallery where you can view and favourite your images.
Once you have chosen and paid for your collection, you will be given download permission to the gallery to download both high-resolution images and social-media size images.
The additional products can also be ordered through the gallery. There’s no hard sales pitch, but if you would like some wall art products and want to meet up for a chat about the options then that’s absolutely fine too!
Let’s face it, it’s England, the weather is unpredictable. But some of the most fun family times can be stomping about in puddles! Sessions will only be cancelled if the weather is really bad if we’re able to go out and shoot, we will!
