Suzanne & Sammy – Suffolk Barn Wedding
Nothing like a venue with a huge outdoors space for a gorgeous Suffolk wedding during this heatwave, it’s almost as if it was ordered in especially for Suzanne & Sammy’s big day!
I’d been looking forward to this day for ages, not only were they a really laid back couple, but I knew the venue was going to be gorgeous and I was getting to work with a local Videographer who’s work I really admire – Mike Savory.
I met Suzanne down in Ipswich at the Salthouse Harbour Hotel looking over the marina where she’d been hanging out with the girls and getting their hair and make up done. A great start to the day with lots of laughs, singing to keep the beautiful little Isla entertained and to get some great pics.
My second photographer was meanwhile with the guys while they finished getting ready, and had a cheeky pint, before heading off to the venue.
The venue was the stunning Copdock Hall – a Tudor Barn with a huge indoor area and masses of outdoor space, including a vineyard! Beautiful setting for a wedding, the brick walls and wooden beamed ceilings are just stunning.
After a slightly late running ceremony (told you they’d wait for you Suzanne 😉 ) it was on to the fun, the drinks were flowing the BBQ food was the best I’ve seen at a wedding, and everyone was in good spirits, exactly how it should be.
With the evening entertainment provided by the always-awesome Joe Ringer Band, we let them have a couple of dances after first dance, before dragging them both to the Vineyard, and a field behind the barn, in order to make the most of the gorgeous golden light that we had.
I know this was the bit they were both looking forward to the least, as it is pretty surreal just being alone with both a photographer and videographer, but they were great sports and we knew they’d regret not getting some photos when the light was that gorgeous. And well, take a look for yourself, they smashed it!
Congratulations Sammy, Suzanne and of course, Isla 🙂
No more words from me, time for the photos!
