MY STYLE & APPROACH
NATURAL, RELAXED & UNOBTRUSIVE
My job is simple on your wedding day, capture everything that’s going on – the little moments between your guests, the tears, the laughter – and put it all together in a way that tells the story of your big day from start to finish. All without being in your face, bossing people around and whilst ensuring gran doesn’t block any of my shots with her iPad*
And I do this not be stalking around the outskirts of your guests peeking in, but by getting stuck in, mingling with your guests and capturing moments from within. So when you look back on the images, you feel like you’re just as much in the moment as you did on the day.

Me covering your day might look a little like this:
WHERE IT ALL STARTS
I’ll typically turn up around 3 hours before your ceremony, this is plenty of time to get some awesome images of you getting ready. It gives me a chance to get to know the wedding party, get some great shots of you all, finishing touches to outfits and makeup and grab some detail shots before heading over to the ceremony.
THE "I DO"S
I’ll get to the ceremony before you, grab some images of the guests arriving and your fiancé anxiously waiting. Introduce myself to whoever is performing the ceremony and make sure I discretely capture every moment, from the entrance to the first kiss. I ensure that I don’t get in any one’s way during this moment, and definitely don’t use flash.. Whether it’s an intimate wedding ceremony in a tiny chapel, or a huge ceremony in a cathedral, these moments are intimate nomatter the size of the audience and I love capturing all of the little moments during the “I dos”, from nervous hands to tears of happiness. To outright laughter when someone gets a name wrong…
JUST TO TWO OF YOU
At some point during the day, we’ll take a little wander away from the bulk of your guests and get some beautiful pictures of the two of you. Twenty minutes or so is all we need to create some fantastic images for your wall. I won’t put you in any cheesy poses, we’ll just go for a stroll, and I might ask you to stand somewhere where the light is just perfect and have a cuddle.
People often dread the couple portraits, because it’s the part of the day you know you’re being photographed. But, afterwards, people often find it one of their favourite parts of the day. Not just because we create some amazing images of you both, but because you get a few moments together, just the two of you. Partying with your friends and family is great, but a little quiet time with each other on the day is perfect.
TIME FOR FUN AND GAMES
Whether it’s canapes on a terrace, lawn games or bouncy castles and afternoon tea, every wedding reception is great fun and they’re always unique. I’ll be there, mingling with your guests, capturing all the little moments going on that you’d otherwise be unaware of. I’ll shoot up until food is served, before taking a break myself, no one wants a wedding album full of images of people stuffing their faces afterall.
AFTER DARK CREATIVITY
If time and weather permits, I always like to set up something creative once the sun has gone down. Showing off your venues lighting a bit more, embracing the rain, or just giving you something a bit “wow” to go up on your wall. Whether it be a simple shot with the sunset behind you, or an elaborate setup in front of your venue, it only means dragging you away from the dancefloor for a couple of minutes to capture something stunning.
YOU LOOK GOOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR
After first dance, then it’s party time. I won’t be shooting off straight after first dance, I’ll be in the middle of the dancefloor capturing your guests having a blast. I love all the energy on the dancefloor and will switch between a couple of techniques of lighting it to give you a great variation on images of people throwing shapes (or sleeping in corners..)
