This was somewhat of a last minute booking by possibly the most laid back bride I’ve met yet.. I met Mike and Laura for a chat at the family farmhouse where Laura had grown up, the church is only a stones throw away and a marquee was going to go up in the paddock at the back of the house. Beautiful venue, with nothing but fields out the back and the potential for a beautiful sunset! Combined with such a laid back couple, I knew this was going to be a fun wedding to be at.

On the day, an early start was met with me being handed a mug of coffee by Laura’s mum Penny when I arrived (thanks Penny) and right from the start the day panned out pretty much as I’d expected from our initial meet up. Laura was just as laid back and all of her family and bridesmaids were just fantastic. From the word go it was smiles and laughter all day long, I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a bride laugh so much on a morning.

After a promise that there’d definitely be no tears (how long did that last Laura? 😉 ) we headed to the Church a couple of minutes walk away, having to cross a busy road on the way, this bride literally stopped traffic. After possibly the most humorous  wedding ceremony yet (the advantage of the vicar being your uncle) we headed back to the house for the reception.

Laura told me there was two things she really wanted on her wedding day, the dress, and a Tipi. What she got, was three enormous Tipis connected together to give them a bar, a place for the meal plus a dancefloor. It must’ve taken Timber and Canvas hours to put up, but it was definitely worth it. It suited the surroundings, and the atmosphere, perfectly.

After a lovely meal, and some speeches, some emotional, some comedic, and some quite sweary (thanks for that one Laura 😉 ) It was time for the party to get started. As always, I stuck around to get pictures of the dancing in full flow and I imagine, the party was still going in the early hours of the morning.

Congratulations you beautiful people, hope you enjoy the pictures!
