3 reasons family photography is important
Our house is full of printed images. From our wedding, trips away, days out with the family and we always make time to book in a family photoshoot for ourselves too!
Printed images are important, more important than you might think, and here’s why I think that:
1. To Document Change
Our kids grow up so fast, and we get older too (unfortunately!). Enjoying the time we have while they’re little is really important and having some documentation of those moments can be equally important! It makes memories real, gives you something to look back on.
Phone pictures are great for capturing snaps of them enjoying themselves, but if you want something beautiful to print and put on your wall, then you should be looking for a professional family photographer.
2. Because you should be in photos too!
We all love pictures of our kids, but where are we? One of us is usually invisible, in my family it’s myself, lots of pictures of my wife and daughter looking like they’re out exploring the world by themselves.
Who in your family is missing in your photos? Wouldn’t it be fantastic to have some pictures of all of you to look back on when the kids are older? Of course it would.
3. Photos boost your child’s self-esteem!
Studies have shown that having printed images up around your house has a positive effect on children’s self-esteem. Seeing images of themselves, with the people who love them, not only shows them visually that they have a place in the family but it reaffirms the feelings of love towards them!
So get some photos done, and get them up on your wall. You really won’t regret it.
